  • One 13-year-old dog in the home (very calm; must be comfortable with dogs)

Position Overview
This role will primarily focus on caring for the two older children, especially in the early weeks postpartum. The family is looking for a nanny who is confident managing multiple children, enjoys staying active, and can take initiative in creating a fun, engaging, and structured summer for the kids.

In July, the older child will attend a nearby morning summer camp. The nanny will be responsible for drop-off and pick-up, while spending one-on-one time with the younger child during the day.

Especially in the first few weeks after the baby arrives, it will be incredibly helpful to have a nanny who enjoys getting the children out of the house—parks, libraries, museums, and local outings are highly encouraged.

Key Responsibilities

  • Full care for two children (and occasional support with all three children as needed)

  • School/camp drop-off and pick-up

  • Planning age-appropriate outings and activities

  • Creating a fun, engaging, and active summer routine

  • Supporting children’s daily routines and transitions

  • Light child-related household tasks, including:

    • Children’s laundry

    • Dishes and general tidying related to the kids

June On-Call / Overnight Support (Very Important)
The family is seeking a nanny who can serve as their primary (Plan A) support for childcare when mom goes into labor. This may include:

  • Being on-call in June for potential early delivery

  • Providing overnight care for the two children while parents are at the hospital

  • Flexibility and comfort stepping into a more hands-on role during this time

(Additional compensation will be provided for overnight care.)

Ideal Nanny

  • Experienced caring for multiple children at once

  • Safe, confident driver with a clean driving record

  • Drives a reliable vehicle and is comfortable transporting children

  • Proactive, organized, and enjoys planning outings

  • Flexible and adaptable, especially during schedule changes

  • Comfortable with overnight care and on-call needs

  • Supportive, calm, and team-oriented—especially during postpartum recovery

Why This Role is Special
This is a unique opportunity to support a kind, welcoming family during an exciting and meaningful time of growth. They are looking for someone who will feel like an extension of their team—bringing stability, positivity, and care to their children while helping make the transition to a family of five as smooth as possible.
