Position Overview

A warm, welcoming, and busy family in Franktown, Colorado, is seeking a reliable, loving, energetic, and experienced Nanny to provide attentive care for their two children, ages 5 years and 15 months. Both parents have demanding professional careers and are looking for a dependable, trustworthy caregiver who can confidently manage the children's daily routines, encourage their development, and create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment.

The family has employed nannies since their oldest child was an infant and truly values the individualized attention, consistency, and meaningful relationships that come with having a dedicated nanny. They previously enjoyed a wonderful relationship with a long-term nanny who was with them for over two years and are hoping to establish a similarly positive and lasting partnership with their next caregiver.

Reliability and consistency are especially important to this family. They are looking for a professional who takes their commitment seriously, arrives on time, communicates proactively, and can be counted on to provide exceptional care each day. In return, the family is committed to treating their nanny with respect, valuing their time, and creating a supportive and appreciative working relationship.

This is an excellent opportunity for a career nanny who enjoys working with both toddlers and preschool-aged children, thrives in a structured yet flexible environment, and is looking to become a valued part of a family's life for years to come.

About the Children & Family

The family has two happy, energetic, and curious children who love spending time outdoors, exploring new activities, and learning through play.

Their oldest child, age 5, is an active, bright, and curious little girl who enjoys learning, exploring, and engaging in creative activities. She currently attends school three days per week from approximately 9:00 AM–2:00 PM, with the possibility of transitioning to five days per week in January 2027. She can sometimes be hesitant when approaching new experiences or changes in routine, so the family values a caregiver who can provide gentle encouragement, patience, reassurance, and positive reinforcement to help her build confidence and independence.

She previously participated in speech therapy and has successfully graduated from services. Because of the family's continued emphasis on language development, strong English communication skills are important for this position.

Their youngest child, 15 months old, is a happy, easygoing, and adventurous toddler who enjoys exploring the world around them. As with most toddlers, curiosity sometimes leads to mischief, so an attentive, proactive caregiver who can anticipate needs, maintain a safe environment, and provide age-appropriate stimulation is essential.

Both children thrive when they have predictable routines and know what to expect throughout the day. The family maintains relatively consistent mealtimes and a regular toddler nap schedule while allowing flexibility for activities, outings, and everyday adventures.

Outside of work, the family enjoys spending quality time together through cooking, neighborhood walks, visiting extended family, listening to music, and exploring local activities. They value respectful parenting, open communication, and maintaining a calm, loving home environment.

The family also has a young, playful Labrador Retriever. No pet care is required, but candidates should be comfortable around dogs.

Schedule & Flexibility

The family is offering 34 guaranteed hours per week with a consistent Monday–Friday schedule:

  • Monday–Thursday: 8:00 AM–3:00 PM

  • Friday: 8:00 AM–2:00 PM

The family would appreciate a nanny who can offer some flexibility when work obligations occasionally extend beyond the typical schedule. There may be opportunities to stay an additional hour or two, generally only a couple of times per month, depending on the parents' professional commitments.

Because meetings can occasionally run longer than anticipated, a candidate who is understanding and reasonably flexible with occasional schedule adjustments would be especially appreciated.

The family would also love to find someone who is open to occasional evening or date-night babysitting, arranged separately from the regular schedule.

Both parents work demanding jobs. Dad primarily works outside the home, while Mom works predominantly from a separate, private basement office. Although Mom may occasionally come upstairs for lunch or coffee, the nanny will have the autonomy to manage the children's daily routines and activities independently, with minimal parental interruption.

Why This Is a Great Opportunity

This family understands firsthand the positive impact an exceptional nanny can have on their children's lives. Having experienced a wonderful long-term nanny relationship in the past, they recognize the value of consistency, mutual trust, and a caregiver who becomes a meaningful part of their family's everyday life.

They are seeking more than someone to simply supervise their children. They want a nurturing, dependable professional who will encourage their children's growth, create enriching daily experiences, and provide the peace of mind that allows both parents to focus on their careers knowing their children are happy, safe, and thriving.

For a nanny who values strong family relationships, a consistent weekday schedule, competitive compensation, meaningful benefits, autonomy throughout the workday, and the opportunity to make a lasting difference in two young children's lives, this could be a wonderful long-term fit.
