Full-Time Japanese-Speaking Nanny & Language Educator
Location: Longmont, CO (Relocation Considered)
Schedule: Monday – Friday, flexible hours between 7am – 7pm (some early mornings, after-school hours, and occasional evenings/weekends)
Compensation: $35+/hour | Guaranteed 40 hours/week | PTO | Sick Time | Paid Holidays
About the Role
A warm, active family in Longmont, CO is seeking a fluent Japanese-speaking nanny and language educator to join their household full-time. The family has three children (ages 9, 7, and 5) and values education, creativity, and cultural connection. This role blends hands-on childcare with Japanese language immersion and cultural enrichment — perfect for someone who loves working with children and fostering both learning and curiosity.
The ideal candidate is nurturing, adaptable, and deeply familiar with Japanese culture and customs. The family is open to relocating the right candidate and values someone who can collaborate closely with a stay-at-home parent to create a supportive, engaging home environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide loving, reliable care and supervision for three school-aged children
Speak Japanese fluently with the children, creating a fun and immersive bilingual environment
Support Japanese language learning — reading, writing, conversation, and homework
Lead cultural enrichment activities (music, crafts, cooking, traditions, etc.)
Assist with school drop-offs/pickups and after-school routines
Support homeschool and enrichment activities (mom leads homeschooling; hands-on support needed)
Encourage creativity, curiosity, and social-emotional development through play and learning
Help with light household tasks (children’s laundry, tidying, organizing play and learning areas)
Be open to occasional travel with the family (domestic and international, including potential trips to Japan)
Provide occasional evening or weekend care with advance notice
Ideal Candidate
Fluent in Japanese (native or near-native proficiency required)
Strong familiarity with Japanese cultural norms, traditions, and customs
Experienced working with children — ideally in education, tutoring, or nannying
Creative, flexible, and proactive in engaging kids through learning and play
Comfortable collaborating with a stay-at-home parent
Organized, dependable, and adaptable to a dynamic family schedule
Valid driver’s license (family vehicle provided during work hours)
Willing to relocate to Longmont, CO (relocation assistance available for the right person)
