Full-Time Japanese-Speaking Nanny & Language Educator

Location: Longmont, CO (Relocation assistance provided for exceptional candidates)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, flexible hours between 7:00am–7:00pm (some early mornings, after-school hours, and occasional evenings/weekends)
Compensation: $100,00/year+ | Guaranteed 40 hours/week | PTO | Sick Time | Paid Holidays

About the Role

A warm, active family in Longmont, CO is seeking a full-time nanny and language educator with strong Japanese language skills and cultural familiarity to join their household. The family has three children (ages 9, 7, and 5) and values education, creativity, and global cultural connection.

This role blends hands-on childcare with Japanese language exposure and cultural enrichment. The family is open to candidates who are fluent or highly proficient in Japanese, including those who have taught or lived in Japan, have deep familiarity with Japanese language and culture, or nannies from other Asian nationalities with relevant language and cultural experience.

The ideal candidate is nurturing, adaptable, and excited to share language, traditions, and cultural experiences in an engaging, age-appropriate way. The family is open to relocating the right candidate and values close collaboration with a stay-at-home parent to create a supportive, enriching home environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide loving, reliable care and supervision for three school-aged children

• Incorporate Japanese language into daily routines through conversation, play, reading, and activities

• Support Japanese language learning (conversation, reading, writing, homework support as appropriate)

• Lead cultural enrichment activities such as music, crafts, cooking, games, and traditions

• Assist with school drop-offs/pickups and after-school routines

• Support homeschool and enrichment activities (mom leads homeschooling; hands-on support needed)

• Encourage creativity, curiosity, and social-emotional development

• Help with light household tasks related to the children (laundry, tidying, organizing play/learning spaces)

• Be open to occasional domestic and international travel (including potential trips to Japan)

• Provide occasional evening or weekend care with advance notice

Ideal Candidate

• Fluent or highly proficient in Japanese OR significant experience teaching, living, or working in Japan

• Strong familiarity with Japanese language and cultural norms; candidates from other Asian nationalities with relevant experience are welcome

• Background in childcare, nannying, teaching, tutoring, or cultural education

• Warm, engaging, creative, and proactive with children

• Comfortable collaborating with a stay-at-home parent

• Organized, dependable, and flexible

• Valid driver’s license (family vehicle provided during work hours)

• Willing to relocate to Longmont, CO (relocation assistance available for the right candidate)
