Growing family in hilltop neighborhood in Denver, CO is looking to welcome a long-term nanny into their family for their 2 year old son & baby on the way. They also have one older dog - a loving lab in the household. They are truly looking for an extension of their family, as mom and dad both work very demanding jobs. They are looking for somebody that can take charge while they are gone and make sure the household runs smoothly.
They are looking for a nanny that will explore with them, encourage them, and be an extension of the love and respect the parents have shown thus far - to help develop a healthy sense of self.
Primarily care would be for the toddler until mom is off maternity leave after the new year. The little boy will be starting a Montessori program in the mornings in September. Your days would consist of getting him ready for the day and off to school, cleaning up / children’s laundry / organizing children’s spaces / etc. & then picking him up from school and spending the afternoon with him!
Once baby is born you will be managing both kids as mom transitions back to work. Parents primarily work out of the house, with mom working from home one day a week in her own office.
As far as parenting style goes, exposure or experience in RIE (Montessori/Reggio), or openness to learn about it, is a plus!
Reliability is of utmost important to them. Looking for someone to help with light housekeeping and cooking, as it pertains to the kids. They are looking for somebody to grow with their family long term.
Their son has a somewhat reactive airway. Nothing that should impact day to day life, but they need someone comfortable administering an inhaler when needed. Because of this, communication is of utmost importance to them and they will really value a nanny who will keep an eye on him and let parents know if something seems abnormal.
They’d love somebody available for extra babysitting on occasion and the rare overnights & traveling would be appreciated, but not a dealbreaker.
Schedule / Pay / Benefits:
M – W 7:45am – 6pm, Th 7:45am – 5pm, F Off = 40 hours a week
$28+/hour, 2 weeks PTO, 5 sick days, mileage reimbursement, guaranteed hours.
