About the Family
A wonderful first-time family in Littleton, Colorado is seeking a warm, experienced, and genuinely engaged part-time nanny to care for their adorable 7-month-old son.
Theo is a happy, alert, curious little boy who loves music, exploring his surroundings, and discovering new things. He is at such a fun developmental stage, and his parents are looking for someone who will embrace his curiosity, encourage his growing independence, and make each day full of meaningful interaction, exploration, and play.
This family loves spending time together, being outdoors, hiking, and enjoying adventures both big and small. They describe themselves as laid-back and easygoing in many areas of life, while being especially intentional about their son's health, safety, nutrition, and emotional well-being.
Both parents work in the technology industry and work from home full-time, with Dad maintaining a full-time schedule and Mom working part-time. Each parent has a separate home office, and they are hoping to find a nanny who is comfortable working in a collaborative, work-from-home environment.
As first-time parents, they are excited to build a trusting relationship with a nanny who can become a valued part of their family's life. They appreciate open communication, mutual respect, and a willingness to learn from one another.
The family also has a very friendly English Bulldog! He can be quite enthusiastic when meeting new people but typically settles in once he becomes familiar with someone. No pet care responsibilities are required, but candidates must be comfortable around dogs.
About the Position
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced infant nanny who is passionate about early childhood development and enjoys providing attentive, individualized care.
The family's biggest priority is finding someone who will genuinely love spending time with their son, prioritize his safety, and provide a nurturing environment where he feels secure, supported, and encouraged to explore.
They are not looking for someone who simply supervises their child throughout the day. They want a nanny who is actively engaged, observant, playful, and excited to help him reach new developmental milestones.
The ideal candidate will be someone who can get down on the floor, make silly faces, sing songs, build forts as he grows, read books, and find joy in the little moments of childhood.
Equally important is finding someone who is exceptionally attentive to his surroundings. At this stage, he is exploring everything, often with his mouth! The family values a nanny who naturally notices potential hazards, anticipates safety concerns, and thoughtfully redirects him when necessary.
They want someone who pays attention to the details without needing constant direction.
The family is hoping to establish a minimum one-year commitment but would love to find someone who could potentially remain with them for several years as their child grows their family's needs evolve.

Important Dietary Consideration: Mom has celiac disease, and the household is generally maintained as a gluten-free environment. Naps & Daily Routines

The family places significant value on communication and appreciates a nanny who is comfortable sharing observations, asking questions, and offering thoughtful suggestions based on their professional experience.
Additional Household Responsibilities
This is primarily a childcare-focused position, and the family is not looking for a housekeeper or household manager.
However, they would greatly appreciate a nanny who is naturally helpful, proactive, and willing to assist with occasional light household tasks when time allows and their son’s needs are fully met.
Child-related responsibilities will include:
Cleaning and sanitizing bottles and feeding supplies.
Tidying Theo's play areas and organizing toys.
Cleaning up after meals and activities.
Maintaining an organized, safe, and developmentally appropriate environment.
Assisting with Theo's laundry and other child-related tasks as needed.
Additional light household assistance would be considered a wonderful bonus, including:
Unloading or loading the dishwasher.
Starting, switching, or folding an occasional load of laundry.
Helping maintain general tidiness in shared living spaces.
Taking initiative with small tasks that help the household run smoothly.
The family understands that caring for an infant is the nanny's primary responsibility and does not expect household tasks to interfere with attentive childcare.
They would simply love to find someone who has a team-oriented mindset and enjoys being helpful when the opportunity naturally presents itself.
Working Alongside Work-From-Home Parents
Both parents work from home, so candidates must be genuinely comfortable with a collaborative household environment.
The parents have designated office spaces and will generally be working during the nanny's scheduled hours. However, they enjoy being involved in their son's day and want the flexibility to stop by, say hello, and spend time with him when their schedules allow.
Mom will also continue breastfeeding, so the nanny should be comfortable coordinating feeding times and transitioning care between Mom and nanny throughout the day.
The family is looking for someone who:
Is confident and comfortable working with parents present in the home.
Welcomes occasional parental interaction without feeling that it undermines their role.
Can smoothly transition him between parent time and nanny time.
Communicates openly about routines, scheduling, and any challenges that arise.
Respects the privacy and confidentiality of the parents' work, particularly during meetings.
Understands the importance of maintaining a positive, collaborative relationship while still confidently taking ownership of his care.
The parents want their nanny to feel trusted and empowered, not micromanaged.
They also recognize that consistency is important for him and are committed to maintaining open communication to help everyone navigate the work-from-home dynamic successfully.
Parenting Philosophy & Household Values
The family believes in a gentle, responsive, and respectful approach to parenting.
They prioritize meeting his emotional needs and do not believe in allowing him to remain in prolonged distress without comfort or reassurance.
As he grows, they hope to guide him using kind, clear communication, age-appropriate boundaries, redirection, and natural consequences when developmentally appropriate.
They are looking for a nanny who shares these values and understands the importance of creating an environment where children feel safe, loved, heard, and respected.
The family is also intentional about health, nutrition, and the products and materials he is exposed to.
Candidates should be comfortable respecting household preferences regarding:
Gluten-free food preparation and preventing gluten cross-contact.
Limiting heavy fragrances, perfumes, and strongly scented products.
Being mindful of toys, household objects, and other materials he may place in his mouth.
Maintaining a clean, safe, and health-conscious environment.
Supporting responsive caregiving and gentle, developmentally appropriate guidance.
The family does not expect perfection, but they do value someone who is thoughtful, conscientious, and respectful of the priorities that matter most to them.
