About the Family & Position
A warm, welcoming dual-physician family in Castle Rock is seeking an experienced, nurturing, and highly dependable full-time nanny to care for their two young daughters!
For the past year, the children's grandmother has been a trusted and integral part of their childcare. With their family growing, the parents are excited to welcome a professional nanny who can provide consistent, loving care and become an important part of their children's lives for years to come.
Both parents are physicians who primarily work at a hospital in Aurora. Their demanding careers require them to be away from home for extended periods, making reliability, safety, trust, and excellent communication especially important.
The family is looking for someone who is confident independently managing the needs of two young children, genuinely enjoys the infant and toddler stages, and can provide a safe, engaging, and developmentally enriching environment.
While the family maintains some structure and routines throughout the day, they also appreciate flexibility and recognize that each child's needs can change. They would love to find a nanny who can balance consistency with adaptability, encourage exploration and independence, and build a loving, secure relationship with both children.
Nearby grandparents will continue to be a wonderful source of support for the family!
Meet the Children
Toddler | 2 Years Old
An adventurous, active, curious, and incredibly sweet little girl who loves exploring the world around her! She especially enjoys spending time outdoors, but is equally happy reading books, playing games, coloring, and engaging in imaginative activities.
Her ideal nanny will be someone energetic and creative who enjoys getting outside, planning age-appropriate activities, encouraging curiosity, and supporting her growing independence.
Infant | Under 1 Year Old
A sweet, calm, and observant baby who enjoys watching her big sister explore the world! She is generally content and easygoing but especially enjoys individual attention and meaningful one-on-one interaction with her caregivers.
Her ideal nanny will have strong infant experience and enjoy supporting developmental milestones through tummy time, sensory exploration, age-appropriate play, and attentive, responsive caregiving.
The family would love someone who can thoughtfully balance both children's needs, ensuring each receives individualized attention while also encouraging a positive sibling relationship.
Family Pet
The family also has a sweet, senior Golden Retriever who is wonderful with the children. She is relatively low-maintenance and will simply need to be let outside throughout the day and fed as needed.
Schedule & Guaranteed Hours
This position offers a unique opportunity for a career nanny who appreciates flexibility, fewer working days in some weeks, and guaranteed income!
Because both parents are physicians, their schedules vary from week to week. However, they receive their work schedules approximately six months in advance, allowing for significant advance notice and planning.
The family is seeking a nanny who has Monday–Friday availability, although they will not necessarily need childcare five days per week.
On days when both parents are working, the nanny should anticipate longer shifts, generally around 7:00 AM–6:00/7:00 PM.
These overlapping workdays typically range from two to three days per week.
To provide financial stability, the family is offering 35 guaranteed paid hours per week, even when their direct childcare needs fall below that amount.
The family is also very open to collaborating with their nanny to establish additional, mutually agreeable workdays and hours to create a more consistent schedule. These additional days would generally have shorter shifts and may include childcare or agreed-upon household support responsibilities.
For example, some weeks may require two or three longer childcare days, while other weeks may have minimal or no required childcare due to the parents' schedules.
What makes this arrangement appealing:
Guaranteed weekly income despite fluctuating childcare needs
Work schedules provided approximately six months in advance
Potential for fewer working days during certain weeks
No weekend requirements
Flexibility to collaboratively establish additional hours and workdays
A family that genuinely values their nanny's time and financial stability
The ideal candidate will be comfortable with longer shifts on scheduled childcare days and appreciate the unique flexibility this arrangement provides.
