A warm, laid-back family in Castle Pines is seeking an experienced, energetic, and loving full-time nanny to join their household! The family has three wonderful children: a 5-year-old girl, 3-year-old girl, and 10-month-old boy.
Their oldest attends kindergarten full-time and is a sweet, sensitive, empathetic big sister who absolutely adores her younger siblings. She is a rule follower, eager to please, and thrives with loving consistency.
Their 3-year-old is sweet, spunky, playful, and full of personality! She currently attends preschool on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:00 AM–3:00 PM and loves opportunities to play, explore, and stay active. Beginning in August 2027, the family hopes to transition her into either a three-day-per-week or five-day-per-week preschool program, depending on availability and other factors.
Their youngest is an easygoing and happy baby who will be around one year old when the position begins. He is a great sleeper, loves solids, rarely fusses, and is absolutely obsessed with his big sisters!
About the Position
The family is looking for a nanny who genuinely loves being around children and enjoys the fun, movement, and occasional chaos that comes with caring for three young kids!
During the school year, much of the nanny's day will be focused on their youngest, with their 3-year-old home three days per week and their oldest attending kindergarten full-time. However, candidates should be comfortable and confident caring for all three children together, as there are school breaks, holidays, teacher workdays, and other no-school days throughout the year when all three children will be home.
The ideal candidate will be fun, energetic, patient, nurturing, and confident managing multiple children. Experience with infants, toddlers, and preschool/early elementary-aged children is highly preferred.
This is an active household, so physical stamina is important. Their home is two stories, the children's primary play space is upstairs, and their youngest loves being held. The nanny should enjoy getting out of the house for walks, parks, library trips, outdoor play, and other age-appropriate adventures.
The family follows a gentle parenting approach with firm, consistent boundaries. They are looking for someone who can remain calm through tantrums or challenging moments, reinforce positive behavior, confidently hold boundaries, and provide plenty of loving reassurance.
Responsibilities
The nanny's primary focus will always be the children and creating a safe, loving, engaging environment for them. Responsibilities will include:
Providing attentive and nurturing care for the children
Planning creative, age-appropriate activities and play
Getting outside and taking the children on outings and adventures
Preparing simple meals and snacks for the children
Maintaining children's routines and schedules
Light tidying and resetting of children's spaces
Cleaning up after children's meals and activities
Supporting the family's gentle parenting and boundary-setting approach
Helping foster a positive and loving relationship between the siblings
Occasionally assisting with school pickup for the older children, as the baby's nap schedule allows
The family understands that school pickup may not currently work with the baby's nap schedule. As he gets older and transitions to one nap, they would love for their nanny to occasionally assist with pickup when it fits naturally into the children's schedule.
This is not a household management or heavy housekeeping position.
Family & Work-From-Home Dynamic
Mom works full-time from home, while Dad primarily works outside of the home and travels for work.
Mom is very hands-off during the workday and wants the nanny to feel empowered to take the lead with the children. She does enjoy occasionally popping in to say hello or getting a quick hug, and the children are already very accustomed to this dynamic.
The family places a high value on open, respectful communication and wants their nanny to feel like an important part of the family while maintaining a professional employer/employee relationship.
Their household is fairly laid-back, active, and loving. They minimize screen time, encourage lots of play, and prioritize modeling kindness and respect in front of their children.
Transportation
A family vehicle will be provided for all child-related transportation, including outings and occasional school pickups. The nanny will not be expected to use their personal vehicle to transport the children.
Compensation & Benefits
$31/hour+, depending on experience
40 guaranteed hours per week
10 paid days off annually to use for vacation or illness
Additional paid time off may occur when the family travels
Annual holiday bonus
Family vehicle provided for all work-related transportation
Opportunity for additional date-night babysitting
Potential opportunity to travel with the family in the future
The family occasionally travels, which can naturally result in additional paid days off for their nanny beyond their standard PTO. While this additional time off is not guaranteed and will vary from year to year, the family consistently honors the nanny's guaranteed hours when they choose not to utilize care.
The children also have involved grandparents who enjoy spending time with them! At times, the grandparents may take the older girls on special adventures or trips, giving the nanny days where they are caring for just the youngest child rather than all three. This will vary and is not guaranteed, but can be a nice perk when it occurs.
Ideal Candidate
The family's ideal nanny is someone who is:
Experienced caring for multiple young children
Experienced with infants and toddlers
Warm, loving, patient, and genuinely passionate about childcare
Energetic and physically capable of keeping up with three young children
Comfortable and confident caring for all three children together on school breaks and no-school days
Comfortable navigating tantrums and age-appropriate behaviors calmly
Confident implementing gentle parenting techniques while maintaining firm boundaries
Creative and excited to plan activities, outings, and adventures
Comfortable working alongside a work-from-home parent
Comfortable occasionally assisting with school pickup as schedules allow
Communicative, dependable, and professional
Comfortable with normal childhood illnesses and the typical germs that come with having school-aged children
Interested in becoming a consistent, long-term presence in the children's lives
Open to occasional date nights and potentially traveling with the family in the future
COVID vaccination is required.
This is a wonderful opportunity for an experienced nanny who loves the energy of a busy young family and appreciates a position that offers a nice balance throughout the week — from one-on-one time with the baby to busy days with all three children. The family is hoping to find someone who will bring warmth, creativity, patience, and plenty of energy to their days while becoming a trusted, long-term part of their household.
