Weekend Caregiver for Aging Couple (Saturdays & Sundays)
Location: Cherry Creek North
Schedule: Primarily Saturdays & Sundays, 7am – 6pm (22 guaranteed hours/weekend) with occasional overnight needs (additional compensation)
Compensation: $30+/hour
About the Role
A loving, aging couple is seeking a reliable, compassionate, and proactive caregiver to provide weekend support. The role is primarily daytime hours on Saturdays and Sundays, but flexibility is essential, as occasional overnight or evening care may be needed when health declines or additional support is required.
Responsibilities
Provide companionship and engage in supportive conversation
Housekeeping and tidying (making beds, organizing, keeping spaces neat)
Cooking and meal preparation
Running errands, grocery shopping, and package drop-offs
Anticipate needs, identify potential issues before they arise, and take initiative
Communicate effectively with extended family regarding care updates
Make sure medication schedule is being followed
What We’re Looking For
Prior experience working with elder couples or seniors strongly preferred
Medical training or caregiving certifications a plus (CNA, HHA, First Aid/CPR)
Highly flexible and dependable — able to adjust schedule for occasional nights or weekday evenings as needed
Proactive, “jack-of-all-trades” personality who can step in where needed without waiting for direction
Strong communication skills and ability to keep family informed
Candidate must have the ability to provide flexibility — this position is not a fit for those with young children or other major scheduling conflicts
