Full-Time Nanny Needed For Dual Physician Parents (Centennial / Aurora Area)
Loving parents are looking for a dedicated and flexible full-time nanny to care for their two wonderful children (a 9-year-old boy and a 7-year-old girl) in the Centennial/Aurora area. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children, a positive attitude, and a passion for providing a nurturing and educational environment.
Job Details:
- Location: Centennial/Aurora, CO
- Start Date: ASAP
- Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, typically between 6:00am - 8:00pm. The schedule will be provided 2-3 weeks before the start of the month and will average around 40 hours per week (range 30-50 hours/week). Time above 40 hours will be paid at an overtime rate. Occasionally, weekend or overnight hours may be requested, but these are not required.
- Pay: $25 - $30/hour, depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities -
Primary Care for Children:
- Supervision & Safety: Ensure the safety and well-being of the children throughout the day.
- Activities: Plan and engage in indoor and outdoor activities, including outings, play dates, and age-appropriate outings (e.g., museums).
- Transportation: Drive the children to school, medical appointments, extracurricular activities, and playdates.
- Homework Assistance: Support the kids with schoolwork and homework preparation.
- Daily Routines: Implement daily routines, assist with age-appropriate self-care (e.g., dressing, hair care), and reinforce appropriate discipline and social behavior.
- Nutrition: Prepare age-appropriate meals and snacks.
Additional Household Manager Duties:
- Household Care: Light housekeeping, including organizing the kids' play areas and bedrooms, cleaning the kitchen, and performing household laundry.
- Help with errands such as grocery shopping, returning packages, etc.
- These duties will be scheduled while the children are in school.
Ideal Candidate:
- Must be flexible, proactive, and able to plan fun, educational activities for the kids.
- Previous experience working with children in a nanny or childcare capacity is preferred.
- A reliable/clean vehicle and a clean driving record are essential.
- Comfort with occasional household tasks such as meal prep, laundry, and running errands.
- Willingness to commit long-term to grow with the family.
Additional Information:
- They have a hamster at home, but no additional pet care is required.
- This position is ideal for someone seeking a long-term role as the children may need care until they are old enough to drive, due to the parents' work schedules.
- The oldest child is on a schedule 2 controlled substance for ADHD, the nanny must feel comfortable being able to give him a pill every morning. The medicine area will be monitored by video camera.
