Part-Time Nanny & Household Manager - Boulder, CO (20 hours a week)
Job Overview: A laid-back, active family in Boulder, CO, is looking for a caring, energetic, and reliable individual to help support their family as a part-time nanny and household manager. The role will focus primarily on caring for their two daughters— 3.5 years old) and 7 months old—while also assisting with household tasks such as meal planning, grocery shopping, cooking, and general organization. The ideal candidate will be an integral part of their family, helping them create a safe, nurturing, and loving environment for their children.
Responsibilities:
Household Management (2:00pm - 4:30pm):
Meal planning and preparation for family dinners
Grocery shopping and kitchen organization
Tidying and maintaining household organization (e.g., managing closets, laundry, etc.)
Assisting with basic household chores (loading/unloading the dishwasher, etc.)
Nannying (4:30pm - 6:00pm):
Pick up kids from school and care for them until parents arrive home
Play, interact, and engage with the children in activities and help with developmental milestones
Supervise the girls’ dinner routine and help prepare them for bed
Ensure a calm and loving atmosphere, helping the 3 year old with boundaries and positive choices
Additional Support:
Occasionally stay later (until 7:00 or 7:30pm) on days when Dad is traveling for work
Flexibility for occasional date nights, weekend coverage, or federal holidays/school in-service days (advance notice provided)
Help maintain a harmonious environment where the family’s needs are supported
Hours:
Regular Schedule: Monday - Friday, 2:00pm - 6:00pm
Additional Hours: Potential for extra hours when Dad travels (approximately 2-3 days per month), date nights, and occasional weekends
Qualifications:
Experience caring for young children, including infants and toddlers
Ability to be an active, engaged, and patient caregiver for both a 3.5-year-old and a 7-month-old
Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage household tasks alongside childcare responsibilities
Comfortable preparing meals, handling grocery shopping, and general household tidying
Experience in maintaining routines for children and promoting developmental milestones
Up-to-date on required vaccinations (TDAP and seasonal flu)
Comfortable with a dog (a 12lb cavapoo)
Must have a valid driver’s license and a reliable car to pick up the children from school
Personal Qualities:
Energetic, reliable, and proactive, with a love for children and a genuine interest in supporting their development
Caring and firm when necessary, with a style of discipline that aligns with their family’s values
Flexible and adaptable to changes in schedule, especially during Dad’s work travel
Looking for a long-term commitment (at least a 1-year contract with potential to extend)
Able to work independently but also willing to collaborate as part of a family team
Strong communication skills and a positive, nurturing attitude
Compensation:
$30/hour+ DOE
1 week of PTO plus sick leave
Holiday bonus
Opportunity for additional hours as needed
