Family in Baker neighborhood seeking 36 hours a week for their infant son
Job Title: Full-Time Nanny
Start Date: November 1, 2024 - November 15th, 2024 (6 month contract, potential for extension)
Location: Baker Neighborhood, below South Broadway
Schedule:
- Monday to Thursday: 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM (36 hours/week)
- Occasional Fridays with advance notice
Compensation/benefits:
- $30/hour
- Guaranteed hours
- Mileage reimbursement
- Open to health insurance stipend
- 2 weeks PTO (8 days)
- 5 sick days
- Holiday bonus
- Potential retention bonuses (first at six months, then annual)
Role Overview:
They are first-time parents seeking a caring, patient, and knowledgeable nanny to provide full-time care for their 5-month-old baby boy. As both parents have busy schedules— Mom working in the office at least three days a week and Dad primarily on campus (grad student). Their ideal nanny will be someone who is a self-starter and can offer consistent, loving, and developmentally appropriate care. They value open communication, trust, and a collaborative approach to parenting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Primary care for baby boy, including feeding, changing, and engaging in developmental activities.
- Implement and maintain a schedule for him that supports his growth and development.
- Assist in helping him develop a good sleep routine and manage transitions.
- Light housekeeping related to child, such as cleaning and sterilizing bottles, and tidying up his play areas.
- Occasionally help with date nights as needed.
- They have one, friendly older dog who might need some love every now & then.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with infants and knowledge of child development milestones.
- Patient, loving, and proactive with a genuine interest in fostering a positive environment for their child.
- Ability to follow established routines while being adaptable to his evolving needs.
- Comfortable with occasional outings as he grows.
- Must have your own vehicle, they will provide a car seat base for your car.
- Strong understanding of early childhood education, familiarity with Montessori and Reggio Emilia teaching philosophies a plus.
- Infant CPR / Baby safety training

Family Dynamics:
- Mom will work both in the office and from home, when at home, the nanny will still be the primary caretaker.
- Dad will have a fluctuating schedule but will need the nanny to be the main caregiver even if he is home.
