Position Overview
A private household in the Louisville area is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented, and proactive Part-Time Housekeeper to assist with maintaining a clean, organized, and well-functioning home.
This position is ideal for someone who takes genuine pride in their work, has a strong eye for detail, and enjoys creating a welcoming, tidy, and comfortable home environment.
The ideal candidate is someone who can work independently, manage their time efficiently, and recognize what needs attention without requiring constant direction. The household values professionalism, discretion, consistency, and someone who is interested in building a long-term working relationship.
Schedule
Monday–Friday | 5 days per week
16 hours per week to start
Daytime hours preferred (you pick start time between 9AM - 5PM)
Approximately 3.5 hours per day
Some flexibility with specific start and end times
Potential for additional hours as household needs evolve
Compensation
$25+/hour, depending on experience

Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities will focus on maintaining the overall cleanliness, organization, and day-to-day upkeep of the home.
Duties may include:
General housekeeping and maintaining clean, tidy living spaces
Kitchen cleaning, including counters, appliances, and common areas
Bathroom cleaning and sanitizing
Laundry, including washing, drying, folding, steaming, and putting away clothing
Making beds and changing linens
Organizing closets, drawers, and household spaces as needed
Restocking household supplies and maintaining inventory of everyday essentials
General tidying and household resets
Assisting with occasional organizational projects
Helping maintain household systems and organization
Proactively identifying areas that need attention and addressing them efficiently
Using household-preferred cleaning products and following established care instructions for surfaces and furnishings
The household is looking for someone who takes ownership of their responsibilities and enjoys maintaining a consistently clean and organized home.
Ideal Candidate

Experienced in residential housekeeping or private household support

Previous experience working in private homes is strongly preferred.
