The Family

A warm, active family in Cherry Hills Village is seeking an experienced Nanny / Family Assistant to become a long-term part of their household. With seven children ranging in age from 15 years old to 18-month-old twins, this is a busy, energetic home where organization, teamwork, flexibility, and a great attitude are essential.

The family's older children are in school full-time, so the position will primarily involve the three youngest children, including the twins. Mom stays home and is very hands-on with the children, making this a collaborative position where the nanny and mom will work closely together throughout the day.

This is not a traditional nanny role where every day looks exactly the same. When Mom is spending time with the children, the Nanny / Family Assistant may pivot to household and family-assistant responsibilities. When Mom needs an extra set of hands with the children, childcare will become the priority. The ideal candidate will genuinely enjoy this type of teamwork and be able to move seamlessly between responsibilities.

The family describes themselves as very active, organized, and close-knit. With seven children involved in school, competitive sports, activities, and busy schedules, they "run a tight ship" and are looking for someone who can jump in, anticipate needs, and help keep the household running smoothly.

Their Christian faith is also an important part of their family life, and all of the children attend Christian school. They would love to welcome someone who is comfortable working within a household where faith is an integral part of the family's daily life and values.

The Position

This role will be approximately 60% childcare and 40% family-assistant/household support, although those percentages may shift from day to day depending on the family's needs.

Childcare Responsibilities

  • Providing attentive, engaging, and loving care, primarily for the family's three youngest children

  • Creating a fun, active, and nurturing environment

  • Assisting Mom with childcare throughout the day and working collaboratively as a team

  • Helping maintain routines and keeping the children's days organized

  • Engaging the children in age-appropriate play, activities, outings, and developmental experiences

  • Assisting with transportation for children as needed

  • Helping with transitions, meals, activities, and other child-related needs

  • Traveling with the family approximately once per year within the U.S.

Family Assistant Responsibilities

When Mom is spending time with the children, the Family Assistant will pivot to household support, which may include:

  • Keeping children's closets, clothing, and belongings organized

  • Maintaining organization of toys, play spaces, and children's areas

  • Running family and household errands

  • Helping keep the household organized and prepared for the children's busy schedules

  • Assisting with child-related household tasks

  • Taking initiative on projects and organizational needs as they arise

  • Providing an extra set of hands wherever needed to help the day run smoothly

This position does not require someone who needs a rigid division between "nanny duties" and "family assistant duties." The right person will enjoy being part of a team and understand that responsibilities may shift throughout the day.

The Ideal Candidate

The family is looking for someone who is:

  • Fun, energetic, and engaging

  • Warm, caring, and genuinely loves working with children

  • Highly organized and able to keep up with a large, active household

  • Flexible and comfortable with changing priorities

  • Proactive and able to recognize what needs to be done without always being asked

  • A strong communicator and collaborative team player

  • Comfortable working closely and hands-on with a stay-at-home parent

  • Confident caring for multiple children and navigating the dynamics of a large family

  • Comfortable transitioning between childcare and household responsibilities

  • Dependable, mature, and looking for a long-term position

  • Comfortable working in a household where Christian faith and values are an important part of family life

Driving & Travel

The family will provide a nanny vehicle for work-related driving. Candidates must have a clean driving record and be comfortable confidently driving a large, Suburban-sized vehicle.

The family also travels domestically approximately once per year and would like their nanny to accompany them when needed.

Pets

The family has two cats and an axolotl, so candidates should be comfortable working in a pet-friendly home.

Why This Position Stands Out

This is a wonderful opportunity for an experienced nanny or family assistant who loves the energy of a large family and enjoys being truly integrated into the day-to-day rhythm of a household. The family is looking for someone who can become a trusted partner to Mom, build meaningful relationships with the children, and bring both warmth and organization to their busy home.

For someone who thrives on variety, enjoys staying active, and loves the combination of hands-on childcare and family-assistant responsibilities, this could be an excellent long-term fit.
