How we do things:
Intermediate
#1. Initial phone consultation. This is where we will get into the nitty gritty of what exactly you’re looking for. We will discuss your family and your needs in depth to make sure we are on the same page. Things like - weekly schedule, job responsibilities, benefits, pay, home atmosphere, parents role during the day, etc.
Intermediate
#4. We will present detailed candidate profiles for the most qualified candidates. From there, you'll decide which individuals you'd like to interview, and we'll coordinate scheduling and guide you through the interview process.
Intermediate
#2. Once you decide to move forward, we'll review and sign the agency agreement, collect the non-refundable registration fee, and officially begin your personalized search.
Intermediate
#5. Once you've completed your phone interviews, we'll discuss your thoughts on each candidate and answer any questions that may have come up throughout the process. We strongly encourage families to share both what they liked and what they didn't like about each candidate—even if a candidate isn't the right fit. This feedback is incredibly valuable and often helps us better understand your preferences, priorities, and family dynamic. In many cases, these conversations allow us to refine the search and identify even stronger matches moving forward.
Once we've reviewed your feedback together, we'll help coordinate in-person interviews or trial shifts with the candidates you'd like to move forward with.
Intermediate
#3. We will create a professional job description designed to attract qualified candidates and begin actively recruiting on your behalf. Every applicant is carefully reviewed and evaluated before being considered for your position.
Intermediate
#6. Offer, background checks, & onboarding - Once you've selected the candidate you'd like to move forward with, we'll help you extend a formal offer and navigate any final negotiations regarding schedule, compensation, benefits, and responsibilities. After the candidate accepts the position, we will initiate a comprehensive background screening. Please note that all offers are contingent upon successful completion of the background check.
We intentionally wait until a family and candidate have mutually agreed to move forward before conducting background screenings. Our background investigations are extremely thorough and significantly more comprehensive than many standard online screenings. Because families and candidates are often interviewing multiple options simultaneously in today's fast-moving market, this approach allows us to invest in the highest quality screening process while ensuring resources are allocated appropriately.
Once the background check has been successfully completed, the placement fee is due. From there, we'll assist with creating a comprehensive work agreement outlining compensation, schedule, benefits, responsibilities, confidentiality expectations, and other important employment terms. We're also happy to provide guidance on payroll providers and best practices to help ensure a smooth and successful transition for both your family and your new employee.
